One of the individuals sliced his hand with a knife, but no one else was injured.
The Towson University Police Department responded to the incident around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Capt. Joe Herring said.
The assault stemmed from a disagreement at Casa Mia's, a bar across the street from campus on York Road.
"At some point, a group of four non-students became embroiled in a disagreement in front of Scarborough Hall," Herring said.
The individuals, all males, were intoxicated and underage, he said. One of the non-students had been a guest of a Scarborough Hall resident earlier in the evening.
Two of the individuals began fighting.
One tried to remove a pocket-type knife out of his pocket, and "in trying to remove it, he wound up cutting himself" on his hand, Herring said.
The individual was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a nearby hospital and released. He was brought back to the University for the incident investigation.
The person he was fighting received minor abrasions, and was not treated.
One or two Towson students may have tried to break up the fight but were pushed out of the way, Herring said.
The four subjects were released after receiving denial of access orders.
"If they're found on the campus again, they're subject to being arrested for trespassing," Herring said.
No arrests were made.
