Damascus Lions Club youth recognition night

The Lions Club of Damascus held its annual youth recognition night May 6.

The Damascus High School Leo Club is a community service club sponsored by the Lions Club. The Leo Club has approximately 80 members and does community service throughout the school year. Leos Andrea Langer, Brian Stelter and Jeanine Wirth were commended for their community service and presented with $200 U.S. savings bonds.

The Lions Club sponsors Cub Scout Pack 1438 and Boy Scout Troop 445. It also sponsors Venture Crew 445, which is a co-ed Scouting organization established by the Boy Scouts of America. The Lions Club made cash donations to each organization to support the various programs.
